{"id":159,"date":"2006-03-15T20:36:39","date_gmt":"2006-03-16T03:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monathecat.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/15\/25-days-of-bbq\/"},"modified":"2006-03-15T20:36:39","modified_gmt":"2006-03-16T03:36:39","slug":"25-days-of-bbq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monathecat.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/15\/25-days-of-bbq\/","title":{"rendered":"2.5 days of BBQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/benchristen\/113136960\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/53\/113136960_64e7befdb2_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" alt=\"ben's bbq long branch\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was lucky enough to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/sxsw.com\">SXSW<\/a> this last weekend and I had BBQ for every meal!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>meal 1 &#8211; BBQ Brisket at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ironworksbbq.com\/\">Iron Works BBQ<\/a><\/li>\n<li>meal 2 &#8211; Major Plate at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stubbsaustin.com\/\">Stubbs BBQ<\/a> (Brisket, Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork)<\/li>\n<li>meal 3 &#8211; BBQ Brisket and Pork Ribs at <a href=\"http:\/\/austin.citysearch.com\/profile\/10207724\/austin_tx\/ben_s_long_branch_bbq.html\">Ben&#8217;s BBQ Long Branch<\/a> (pictured)<\/li>\n<li>meal 4 &#8211; Minor Plate at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stubbsaustin.com\/\">Stubbs BBQ<\/a> (Brisket, Pulled Pork)<\/li>\n<li>meal 5 &#8211; Chopped Brisket Sandwich at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saltlickbbq.com\/\">Salt Lick<\/a> (the airport location, next time I&#8217;ll go to the real location)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And thus was my BBQ Odyssey.  I had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shiner.com\/\">Shiner Bock<\/a> and Iced Tea with most meals, except at Ben&#8217;s Long Branch I had Grape Kool-Aid.  On my BBQ Odyssey I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%3Fuestlove\">Ahmir ?uestlove<\/a> (drummer for the Roots) THREE times.
